Laila Havre Jacobsma
Laila Havre Jacobsma is a native Californian, born and raised in Los Angeles.
She earned her J.D. Degree from Western State University in 1990 and
joined the California State Bar Association thereafter. In 1993 she
began her private practice with Charles R. Weldon in Norwalk,
California. That same year, she was admitted to the U.S. District
Court, Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals,
Ninth Circuit. In 2004 she was admitted to the U.S Supreme court. In
2007 Charles R. Weldon passed away and Ms. Jacobsma believed that the
need had arisen for her to establish her own law practice.
Consequently, she forged a partnership with her long time colleague
Paul D. Brau and the Law firm of Jacobsma & Brau was established.
Ms. Jacobsma specializes in Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury
cases as well as Products Liability, Medical Malpractice and Legal
Malpractice cases. |

Paul D. Brau
Paul D. Brau is a native Californian born and raised in Auburn.
He earned his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in
1977 and joined the California State Bar that same year. Following a
two year clerkship, Mr. Brau joined the Charles R. Weldon law firm in
1977. He was admitted to the United States District Court, Central
District California in 1978. In 2002, he was admitted to the U.S.
Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. In 2002, he attended the Straus
Institute for Alternative Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University
School of Law.
Upon the untimely death of Charles R. Weldon in 2007, Mr. Brau was
appointed as Practice Administrator by the Probate Court to wind up the
Weldon law practice. At the conclusion of this endeavor Mr. Brau formed
a partnership with his esteemed colleague, Laila Havre Jacobsma and the
law firm of Jacobsma & Brau was established. |
