A Tribute to Our Mentor



Charles R. Weldon		 Having begun their legal careers at the Weldon Law Firm, both Paul D. Brau and Laila Havre Jacobsma want to take this opportunity to pay tribute to their mentor Mr. Charles R. Weldon.  Charles R. Weldon passed away on May 25, 2007, and with his passing the local legal community lost a preeminent trial attorney.

Mr. Weldon played a critical role in the early legal training of Jacobsma & Brau serving as a role model for both young lawyers in their developments as attorneys, providing ethical, moral and legal guidance which they use as the cornerstone in each case to this day.

It was an honor for Paul D. Brau he was appointed by the Probate Court to be Practice Administrator to oversee the comprehensive wrap-up for the law practice of Charles R. Weldon.  That process has now been completed and as a consequence, the partnership of Jacobsma & Brau, Attorneys at Law was formed.  To that end, they remain committed to the standards of excellence and client trust that they established under the guidance of Charles R. Weldon at the Weldon Law Firm.
